Just In – Chestnuts

November 27th, 2010

When we start talking about chestnuts, you know Christmas can’t be far away.  But really they’re an autumn fruit (yes, they’re a fruit) and we’d be mad to only eat them when wearing silly hats and trying to be nice to the relatives.  So, we’re using them right now in lots of different ways to show you what cracking little nuts they can be: sweet, soft and indefinably nutty.  Ours come from south-west France via the Parisian markets (only the best, naturally).  Try our chestnut, pancetta and cabbage soup, or our chestnut and fontina stuffed agnolotti or maybe you’ll go all traditional and choose our festive chestnut-and-prune stuffing with roast turkey.  Round it off with chestnut tiramisu.
